Bucket Type System: Legal Classification
Residential Status: This unit is legally classified as a Chattel (Commode). As a movable, non-fixed item, it does not fall under the jurisdiction of "fixed sanitary fixtures" within the NZ Building Code. Consequently, it requires no building consent or plumbing compliance for residential use.
Nature of Goods: This system is an analog sanitary vessel. It is not an "appliance" or a mechanical processor. Its primary function is the safe containment of waste; any further use for biological composting is at the discretion and management of the owner.
Electrical Safety: Any integrated fans or low-wattage components are Extra-Low Voltage (ELV) or Low Risk articles. These comply with the essential safety requirements of AS/NZS 3820 and do not require additional NZ-specific certifications.
Performance: As a manual chattel, there are no regulated "performance outcomes" for this system. WCTNZ® provides the hardware; the successful use and biological results of the system are entirely operator-dependent.

WCTNZ® Quality Guarantee: We stand by the "Acceptable Quality" of our hardware. This means your system is guaranteed to be durable, structurally sound, and fit for use as a sanitary vessel. Our warranty covers the mechanical and physical integrity of the components (shells, fans, and seals).
Biological Disclaimer: Because this is a manual chattel, WCTNZ® cannot guarantee biological "outcomes" (such as decomposition rates or odor-free operation), as these are determined solely by user management, environmental conditions, and maintenance protocols.
