The Bionova Cabin is WCTNZ®’s compact option in the Bionova Cabin Series and is positioned for one of the most common NZ use cases we see: holiday properties, cabins, and small off-grid spaces where a conventional flush toilet system is not practical.
This is a self-contained composting toilet, which means the system is designed to operate within the unit itself rather than relying on a separate remote composting chamber. The Bionova Cabin uses powered internal functions to support day-to-day operation, including internal mixing, extractor fan airflow, and temperature-managed chamber support. This gives customers a cleaner, more convenient experience in a compact format that suits modern small-space builds.

Specifications
The Bionova Cabin is a compact self-contained composting toilet with a unit size of 600mm long, 470mm wide, and 510mm high, with a seat height of 420mm.
The shipping dimensions are approximately 780mm by 500mm by 740mm, and the unit weight is approximately 30kg. The maximum load bearing is 150kg.
The outer body is manufactured from high-gloss polypropylene, with internal components using polyamide and polypropylene materials.
The system is electrically powered and is rated at 220–240V AC, 50/60Hz, 170W, with an IPX4 rating and Class I electrical classification. Manufacturer-stated average energy use is approximately 0.55kWh per day, depending on operating conditions and use pattern.
As a practical NZ guide, WCTNZ® positions the Bionova Cabin as the smaller-occupancy model in the range, and it is generally best suited to cabin, bach, and holiday use where a compact self-contained format is preferred.

Understanding Your System: Hardware + Biological Process
Important Notice for Owners: A composting toilet is not a "plug-and-forget" appliance; it is an on-site biological processor. While WCTNZ® provides the highest-quality hardware, the efficacy of the composting process depends entirely on user management.
User Responsibility: Successful, odour-free operation requires the owner to maintain the correct balance of moisture, carbon (bulking agents), and airflow.
Performance: Our warranties cover the mechanical and structural integrity of the hardware (fans, seals, and shells). They do not cover system failure caused by "biological overload," incorrect "feeding," or failure to follow the provided maintenance protocols and professional advice.
Expert Support: We provide the tech and the knowledge, but User Knowledge = System Success. By purchasing this system, you acknowledge that you are the operator of an on-site waste management facility and are responsible for its ongoing biological health.
