A modern self-contained pathway for smaller buildings
Cabin is the smaller-occupancy model within the Bionova Cabin Series.
It is particularly well matched to the way many New Zealand holiday buildings are used — weekends, seasonal stays and intermittent occupancy rather than constant high-volume loading.
Because the biological processing takes place inside the toilet, the building does not need a separate underfloor or remote composting chamber.
How it works
Load, mix and support the biological process
Stage 1 Load & balance Waste enters the self-contained chamber and is managed with the correct bulking material and biological additives for the system.
Stage 2 Mix & aerate Automated internal mixing and extractor-fan airflow help maintain porosity and oxygen movement through the composting mass.
Stage 3 Support biology Temperature-managed chamber support helps maintain the operating environment while the owner follows the required bulking, moisture and maintenance routine.

A composting toilet is an operating biological system. The powered hardware supports mixing, airflow and chamber conditions, while successful composting still depends on maintaining the correct balance of moisture, carbon and airflow.
Correct setup and routine management matter. Using the specified bulking material, following the operating guidance and responding to changes in the composting mass help keep the system performing consistently.
