The Bionova Cabin Plus is the larger-capacity model in the Bionova Cabin Series and is designed for NZ customers who want a self-contained composting toilet with improved liquid management for higher occupancy use.

Like the standard Cabin model, the Cabin Plus is a self-contained composting toilet designed to support biological processing inside the unit through powered internal operation. The system uses automated internal mixing, extractor fan airflow, and temperature-managed chamber support to help maintain a practical operating environment inside the toilet while reducing the amount of day-to-day user intervention required.

The key difference with the Cabin Plus is the inclusion of urine separation and a urine container. This supports better liquid management within the system and gives the Cabin Plus stronger suitability where occupancy is higher or where the toilet will see more frequent use during holiday periods. For many NZ projects, this makes the Cabin Plus the preferred option when customers want the same compact self-contained format but with added capacity and flexibility.

WCTNZ® positions the Bionova Cabin Plus as an excellent option for baches, cabins, glamping accommodation, and modular getaway spaces where customers want a modern toilet-style appearance and a self-contained waterless system that is practical to live with. If you are unsure whether the Cabin or Cabin Plus is the better fit, WCTNZ® can help you compare them based on your building, occupancy, and intended use pattern.

    Specifications

The Bionova Cabin Plus uses the same compact body format as the Bionova Cabin, with a unit size of 600mm long, 470mm wide, and 510mm high, and a seat height of 420mm.

The shipping dimensions are approximately 780mm by 500mm by 740mm, and the unit weight is approximately 30kg. The maximum load bearing is 150kg.

The outer body is made from high-gloss polypropylene, with internal components using polyamide and polypropylene materials.

The system is electrically powered and rated at 220–240V AC, 50/60Hz, 170W, with an IPX4 rating and Class I electrical classification. Manufacturer-stated average energy use is approximately 0.55kWh per day, depending on operating conditions and use pattern.

The Cabin Plus includes urine separation and a urine container, which is the main functional difference from the standard Cabin model.

WCTNZ® positions the Cabin Plus as the higher-capacity model in the range and generally the better choice where occupancy is greater or where improved liquid management is preferred.

Stated system capacities are specified by the manufacturer. These can vary depending on climate.

Understanding Your System: Hardware + Biological Process
Important Notice for Owners: A composting toilet is not a "plug-and-forget" appliance; it is an on-site biological processor. While WCTNZ® provides the highest-quality hardware, the efficacy of the composting process depends entirely on user management.
User Responsibility: Successful, odour-free operation requires the owner to maintain the correct balance of moisture, carbon (bulking agents), and airflow.
Performance: Our warranties cover the mechanical and structural integrity of the hardware (fans, seals, and shells). They do not cover system failure caused by "biological overload," incorrect "feeding," or failure to follow the provided maintenance protocols and professional advice.
Expert Support: We provide the tech and the knowledge, but User Knowledge = System Success. By purchasing this system, you acknowledge that you are the operator of an on-site waste management facility and are responsible for its ongoing biological health.
