    Electrolytic ozone generation

    Understanding EOG, aqueous ozone and the importance of water quality

    BioSure Professional systems are built around Electrolytic Ozone Generation (EOG). Rather than relying on ambient air as the ozone source, an electrolytic cell uses water and electrical energy to generate ozone for the treatment application.

    This approach allows BioSure to generate ozone directly for aqueous applications and can reduce dependence on the separate air or oxygen preparation equipment associated with conventional corona-discharge ozone systems.

    How electrolytic ozone works

    The electrolytic cell converts part of the oxygen derived from water into ozone, allowing treatment to be generated close to the point of use.

    Aqueous Treatment

    BioSure systems are designed around dissolved ozone and active oxidising species for waterline, tank, surface and process applications.

    Application-Specific Design

    Different models are matched to different water qualities, flow rates, treatment duties and required treatment outputs.

    Water quality matters

     

    Electrolytic performance is influenced by the water being treated. The BioSure WDS range therefore separates models intended for filtered tap water from models specifically designed for low-TDS, RO and DI water.

    TDS, conductivity, hardness, temperature, filtration, flow and pressure can all influence generator performance, maintenance requirements and the concentration achieved in the treated water.

    Performance terminology: for applicable WDS “X” models and WTO equipment, BioSure documentation explains that some published production figures represent the combined oxidising power of active oxidising substances expressed as an ozone-equivalent value.

    From compact systems to commercial ozone

     

    The BioSure Professional platform extends from compact WDS waterline systems and WTO tank ozonators through to larger OWS and G Series equipment.

    The commercial OWS and G range uses PEM-based electrolytic ozone technology, with BioSure documentation identifying high-concentration ozone generation, modular expansion, monitoring and integration with commercial treatment processes.

    Technology supported by evidence

    BioSure's technical library includes independent efficacy testing, manufacturer conformity information, operating manuals, application protocols, water-quality requirements and international case studies.
