WCTNZ® Customer Reviews & Project Stories

Real customer experiences from composting toilet, waterless toilet, and greywater projects across New Zealand. These reviews include tiny homes, baches, off-grid homes, campgrounds, public facilities, RVs, rural properties, and customers who needed reliable product advice before choosing a system.

Choosing a composting toilet or greywater system is not only about buying a product. It is about matching the system to the site, the expected use, the building layout, the servicing expectations, and the support needed after purchase. These customer stories show how WCTNZ® helps people move from uncertainty to a working system.

    What customers often value most

Across these reviews, the same themes appear repeatedly: practical system advice, product knowledge, support with council and consent questions, no-odour operation when installed and managed correctly, low-maintenance systems, and responsive after-sales support.

    System matching
Customers often come to WCTNZ® unsure which toilet or greywater pathway fits their site. Many reviews highlight practical guidance before purchase.
    Council and build support
Several projects involved building consent, council expectations, off-grid design, or supporting documentation for a new build or tiny home.
    Long-term operation
Many customers report years of use, low odour, low water use, manageable maintenance, and continued access to parts, consumables, and advice.

"I gave WCTNZ the brief: I wanted a reasonably sized system that would be low-maintenance and would also future-proof the property if the use increased or if the property had to be sold in the years to come. They recommended the Nature Loo Classic 850, and this is what I went for."

"I installed the Nature Loo Classic 850 in an outhouse adjacent to my tiny house/art studio in Piha. I've been using it for about 5 months and still haven't filled up a chamber, so the maintenance is very low!"

We will probably install it in the next 2-3 weeks, because we have to build the bathroom first, now that we can see how the system will fit in and under the space and on the section. Exciting. Thank you for excellent service and all the best to the WCTNZ team."

"I can thoroughly recommend Dylan at Waterless Composting Toilets WCT."

"Having no knowledge of compost toilets I phoned around and emailed a few companies. Dylan promptly replied to my request with a phone call. He asked me what my needs were and found an economical match for me in the CM2. We had no power to the site and Dylan quickly came up with a solution for the vent."

"He also educated me on how to look after the composting side and what my needs would be for the compost bin arrangement. What impressed me was that he was not about selling a product, he was concerned with following through on a process so the whole thing worked to my advantage."

"The wood shavings work well by introducing carbon into the mix so it breaks down before being transferred to the garden, and I'm so pleased I'm not having to use precious water to flush a toilet as I'm on rain catchment where I am."
