    EcoLet™ Technology

How the EcoLet™ range manages airflow, moisture, and solids in a compact dry toilet format.

    Continuous composting technology – EcoLet™ 240 Automatic 25a & 65a

The EcoLet™ 25a and 65a are self-contained, continuous composting toilets. Waste and toilet paper enter the main chamber, where microorganisms, airflow, heat, and regular mixing work together to reduce volume and move material gradually toward the lower compost tray.

    How the 25a & 65a work

    • Automatic mixing: when the lid is lowered after use, the mixer rotates to aerate the pile and help blend fresh material into the composting mass.
    • Ventilation: the built-in fan and vent line continuously draw air through the chamber to support composting, remove moisture, and help keep the toilet room odour-free.
    • Dual heaters: a top heater and a bottom heater help maintain composting conditions and evaporate excess liquid when needed.
    • Chamber screen: the screen opens when the seat is used or lifted, helping hide fresh material during normal use.
    • Liquid monitoring: the tray liquid hose shows liquid level in the compost tray, while the overflow hose shows if liquid has pooled outside the drawer area.

The 25a is the smaller of the two continuous models, with a 50L volume and a typical full-time capacity of up to 3 users. The 65a is the larger unit, with a 72L volume and a typical full-time capacity of up to 4 users.

    The EcoLet™ Composting Chamber Technology

The EcoLet™ composting chamber is designed to treat the waste at its core with its efficient air heating channels it maintains a powerful composting process with the chamber and with thorough evaporation of any excess liquid that is vented safely out of the system keeping the composted portion in the bottom removal tray separate and dry while the non-composted portion remains in the core of the system as a hot compost.

    EcoLet™ Energy Efficiency

High-efficiency Swedish Electrical Technology provides a very low daily power consumption with adjustable and automatic thermostats, which is set according to the number of people using the toilet.
When you go away for more than 3 days, just turn off your EcoLet™ at the wall and slip the seat plug into place.

    Urine-diverting technology – Separera Mini UD-C & UD-S

The Separera Mini models use urine diversion rather than in-unit continuous composting. Solids and liquids are separated at the bowl. This helps keep the solids chamber drier and lighter, while urine is either collected internally or drained externally depending on the model.

    • UD-C (Urine Container): urine is collected in an internal container inside the pedestal.
    • UD-S (Urine Extraction): urine leaves the toilet through a hose to an approved external drainage or collection point.
    • Ventilated solids chamber: a continuous fan draws air through the toilet to reduce odour and help keep the solids chamber dry.
    • Compact format: the Separera Mini is suited to tighter spaces where a compact urine-diverting toilet is preferred.

    Two different EcoLet™ approaches

In simple terms, the 25a and 65a are designed to compost inside the unit over time, while the Separera Mini models are designed to separate and collect waste streams for regular emptying and, where desired, further composting outside the toilet.

    Why setup matters

Across all EcoLet™ models, performance depends on correct installation, uninterrupted airflow, suitable room conditions, and following the startup and maintenance routines. These are not “fit and forget” systems—but when set up properly, they are practical, low-water alternatives to conventional toilets.
