About the Founder

As the Founder and Managing Director of WCTNZ® for the past 17 years, I have dedicated my career to bringing alternative wastewater solutions to the masses and improving public infrastructure in this field.

Starting from the ground up, I built WCTNZ®—a leading company that enhanced the composting toilet industry in New Zealand. WCTNZ® improved the public’s perception of composting toilets and brought them into the 21st century, encouraging evolution of the technology in the marketplace.

Founder’s Expertise & Collaborations

• Councils & Government: Consulted with DOC, MBIE and local councils on compliance guidelines and public-access solutions.
• International NGOs: Advised on off-grid wastewater programmes with cultural sensitivity.

Roots & Motivation

My journey began in Northland—swimming in native rivers and under waterfalls—fostering a deep connection to nature. Raised in a family of engineers, I learned creative problem-solving and innovation from an early age. These foundations drive my commitment to sustainable technology that protects our whenua and benefits communities.
