    Greywater and wastewater products are site-specific systems

    WCTNZ® greywater products and systems are specialist wastewater and water-reuse components intended for use within site-specific plumbing, drainage, and wastewater arrangements.

    In New Zealand, greywater collection, reuse, treatment, discharge, and disposal may require building consent, council approval, resource consent, professional design input, and installation by appropriately authorised tradespersons, depending on the product and installation.

    Customers must ensure that the proposed installation complies with all applicable consent conditions, Building Code requirements, council rules, product manuals, and site-specific engineering or design requirements.

    Any part supplied is warranted for the balance of the original warranty period based on the respective manufacturer’s warranty

    All support information for warranty claims is to be supplied by the customer to WCTNZ® within 21 days of alerting WCTNZ® to the fault

    The warranty period for a part begins from the date the original product was dispatched, plus 5 additional days for transportation

    uridan® Warranty Terms and Conditions

    The uridan® warranty position published by WCTNZ® applies to uridan® waterless urinals, flumes, and related product components supplied by WCTNZ® in New Zealand, subject to the relevant product, quotation, invoice, project document, product manual, and any confirmed brand-specific warranty position.

    Current public source material reviewed by WCTNZ® indicates a limited warranty position of up to 3 years for the function of waterless urinals / flumes and for material defects, where that position is confirmed by the applicable written warranty source. This is not a blanket warranty for every component, consumable, accessory, drain, pipe, site condition, or service item.

    Warranty coverage

    Warranty support is limited to defects in materials or workmanship arising during normal intended use of the supplied uridan® product.

    Other items outside the supplied uridan® product, including site wastewater pipes, drains, building plumbing, drainage layout, flushing from other fixtures, and other external equipment, are not covered unless expressly stated otherwise in writing.

    Service life

    uridan® products are marketed as durable waterless urinal systems intended for long service when correctly installed, cleaned, maintained, and operated. Durability statements are not the same as a separate lifetime warranty.

    No separate public lifetime warranty or fixed body-lifespan statement is published by WCTNZ® for uridan® urinal bodies unless stated in a product-specific document, quotation, invoice, or confirmed manufacturer / supplier warranty document.

    Consumables, service items, cleaning fluids, barrier fluids, and routine maintenance intervals form part of normal operation and are not a warranty extension.

    Purchaser, site, and operator obligations

    The purchaser, installer, site manager, and operator must ensure that:

    • the product is suitable for the intended site, use pattern, traffic level, cleaning regime, and operational environment;
    • installation is completed by a competent trade installer / qualified technician in accordance with the applicable uridan® instructions and New Zealand requirements;
    • the correct trap cover, trap parts, outlet orientation, waste connection, pipe falls, and service access are provided for the specific model supplied;
    • the urinal is commissioned correctly, including trap preparation and uriLOCK® charging;
    • cleaning and maintenance staff are briefed on the uridan® servicing routine and approved products;
    • records of purchase, installation, servicing, and fault history are retained.

    Maintenance requirements

    To maintain proper operation and preserve warranty support, the site must follow the uridan® maintenance system for the relevant model and use profile, including:

    • daily cleaning with uriCLEAN® and a soft microfibre / uridan cloth;
    • routine inspection of the odour seal and timely top-up / refill of uriLOCK®;
    • cover removal and brush cleaning of the opening / trap area at the required servicing interval;
    • periodic deep cleaning with uriSTRONG® and/or uriTABS® where required by site loading and maintenance schedule;
    • earlier servicing for high-use or high-traffic sites where needed.

    Only uriLOCK® is to be used as the odour-blocking fluid for uridan® urinals. uriCLEAN® must be used on the urinal surface. Use of non-approved barrier fluids or unsuitable surface-cleaning chemicals may invalidate warranty support.

    Exclusions

    Unless otherwise required by law or expressly stated in writing, warranty support does not cover:

    • consumables, cleaning fluids, descalers, oils, cloths, batteries, routine service items, or normal wear and tear;
    • odour, slow drainage, staining, or poor performance caused by low uriLOCK®, overdue servicing, wrong cleaning chemicals, poor maintenance, or user misuse;
    • blocked drains, pipework faults, incorrect pipe falls, double trapping, external plumbing defects, wastewater-line contamination, or other site-specific drainage issues;
    • incorrect installation, incorrect commissioning, lack of service access, unauthorised repair, alteration, or third-party modification;
    • damage caused by abrasive products, bleach, solvents, acidic descalers on the bowl surface, harsh chemicals, vandalism, accident, abuse, or neglect;
    • site labour, removal, reinstallation, plumbing labour, freight, travel, accommodation, or consequential project costs unless expressly covered in writing.

    Claim evidence requirements

    WCTNZ® may require the following before warranty support is approved:

    • proof of purchase and original invoice;
    • WCTNZ® order / invoice number;
    • product brand, model, and supplied component details;
    • manufacturer serial number, sales-order number, or WCTNZ® asset / system number where available;

    WCTNZ® administers eligible claims under its New Zealand warranty framework and will refer to the relevant uridan® / manufacturer / supplier / quotation / invoice / project-specific warranty position when assessing coverage.

    • biological failure, odours, composting imbalance, system saturation, system drying, user loading, or user-management issues unless caused by a covered manufacturing defect.

    Claim evidence and assessment

    WCTNZ® may require proof of purchase, model information, SO/SN numbers, photographs, installation evidence, maintenance records, fault description, return authorisation, testing, inspection, or supplier/manufacturer review before approving warranty support.

    Costs not automatically covered

    Unless expressly stated in writing, warranty support does not include site labour, removal, dismantling, access work, reinstallation, recommissioning, tradesperson costs, travel, accommodation, excavation, building work, plumbing work, electrical work, freight, return shipping, or consequential project costs.

    Trade, commercial, project and council supply

    For trade, commercial, project, council, infrastructure, accommodation, rental, or other non-consumer supply, additional quote terms, project terms, trade terms, credit-account terms, or lawful CGA contracting-out provisions may apply where agreed in writing.

    This framework applies except to the extent prohibited by New Zealand law.

    Important Note on Power Supply Compatibility

    All electrical products must be used with compliant power sources and installed according to New Zealand electrical safety standards.
