    Greywater diversion system

    GreyFlow™ | GREYFLOW GRAVITY

A simple, non-powered GreyFlow™ greywater filter and diverter for suitable sites where gravity can do the work.

GREYFLOW GRAVITY provides a low-energy pathway for modest household greywater volumes, typically from showers, bathroom basins and laundry, where the site has reliable fall to a subsurface greywater land-application field.

    Product background

    Developed for practical greywater reuse

GreyFlow™ greywater diversion systems were developed to help households make practical use of suitable greywater instead of sending it straight to sewer, septic or wastewater treatment where site conditions allow reuse through a land-application field.

The Gravity model keeps that pathway simple by relying on fall rather than a pump, making it best suited to modest shower, bathroom basin and laundry flows where the building and discharge field levels work naturally together.

For long-term garden and soil outcomes, low-phosphorus and low-salt detergents are recommended when using greywater for irrigation.
    Why choose this system

Low-energy greywater diversion for the right site

    • Provides a simple greywater diversion pathway without relying on a pump, controller or powered components.
    • Helps suitable sites make practical use of shower, bathroom basin and laundry water through a subsurface greywater field.
    • Supports water-sensitive design for tiny homes, baches, off-grid builds and modest-use household applications.
    • Reduces unnecessary loading on sewer, septic or wastewater systems where greywater diversion is suitable and correctly installed.
    • Keeps the system easy to understand, inspect and maintain compared with powered greywater diversion units.
    System fit

    Best suited for

    Greywater sources
Typically shower, bathroom basin and laundry greywater.
    Site condition
Sites with reliable gravity fall from the building to a suitable subsurface greywater field.
    Use level
Modest greywater volumes, including tiny homes, off-grid builds, baches and simple low-energy applications.
    Not designed for
Pumping uphill, lifting water, drainage sump duties, flooded-area pumping or sites without adequate fall.

    How it works

    Gravity-fed filtering and diversion

    • Greywater enters the unit through a 100mm DWV inlet.
    • The unit filters suitable greywater before discharge.
    • Filtered greywater is delivered by gravity to a subsurface greywater irrigation or disposal field.
    • No pump, controller or electronics are required.
    • Simple filter access supports practical ongoing maintenance.
    Installation context

Part of a complete greywater pathway

GREYFLOW GRAVITY forms the diversion and filtration stage of a greywater system. Final discharge must still be handled through a suitable subsurface land-application field designed for the site, soil, water volume and relevant local requirements.

Greywater diversion performance depends on the full site pathway, including fall, pipe layout, filter access, soil suitability and the final land-application area.
    Important site note

Gravity means the site must do the work

GREYFLOW GRAVITY is not a pump station. If the site requires water to be lifted, pumped uphill or moved from a low point, a pumped GreyFlow™ system or dedicated pump station should be considered instead.
Kitchen wastewater is a heavier greywater stream and is generally not suitable for this pathway without a grease trap and appropriate site-specific design for fats, oils, food solids and higher contamination risk.
