Macerating wastewater pump station bundle
GreyFlow™ | WF-UPS250 Wastewater Pump Station Package
A practical WF-UPS250 wastewater pump station bundle for homes, cabins, small commercial sites and remote facilities where wastewater must be lifted or transferred to a sewer main, onsite treatment system, septic tank or higher-level drain.
This package focuses on the 250L GreyFlow™ underground pump station and a large 100mm inlet/outlet grease trap to help protect the macerator pump where kitchen wastewater, fats, oils or grease may be present.

Grouped bundle selection
Build the package from the products below
This is a grouped wastewater pump station bundle page rather than one sealed kit. Select the required products and options from the list below so the package matches your site, access-cover requirement and wastewater lifting pathway.
The WF-UPS250 product includes key configuration options such as access-cover selection, breather position and optional high-level alarm. The large grease trap is grouped separately because it provides upstream kitchen wastewater protection before the pump station.
Pump station pathway
Wastewater lifting with upstream grease protection
Pump station
GreyFlow™ WF-UPS250 underground pump station with 1500W macerating / grinder pump.
Grease trap
Large Passway™ grease trap / grease interceptor with 100mm inlet and 100mm outlet to better match the pump station pathway and provide stronger upstream grease separation.
Monitoring
High-level audio/visual alarm can be selected within the WF-UPS250 product options to provide early warning of rising liquid level or pump failure.
Access cover
Select the access cover option within the WF-UPS250 product to match the finished surface and expected loading.
Why include a grease trap?
Protecting the macerator pump
Kitchen wastewater can carry fats, oils, grease and food solids. While the WF-UPS250 macerator pump is designed to move wastewater, reducing grease and solids before they reach the pump station can help reduce fouling, odour risk, cleaning load and maintenance issues.
- Large 100mm inlet and 100mm outlet better match the pump station connection pathway.
- Grease separation helps reduce the amount of fats, oils and grease entering the pump chamber.
- Lower grease loading can support cleaner operation and reduce maintenance pressure on the macerator pump.
- Useful where kitchen wastewater may be included before the pump station or where food-service style loading needs additional protection.
Grease management note: A grease trap helps reduce grease-related maintenance risk, but it does not remove the need for correct system design, routine maintenance, pump station inspection or good kitchen wastewater practices.
Pump station / transfer use
One unit, multiple wastewater movement roles
Pump station / transfer use: A macerating pump station may be used to lift or transfer wastewater where gravity fall is not available. In some projects it functions as a transfer station, moving wastewater to a sewer main, septic tank, treatment plant or higher-level drain. WCTNZ® uses “pump station” as the safer general term because the final use depends on the site design and discharge pathway.
Recommended core products
Products to select below
GreyFlow™ WF-UPS250
Compact 250L underground all-wastewater pump station with 1500W macerator / grinder pump. Select required access cover, breather position and monitoring options within the product options.
Large Passway™ grease trap
Large 100mm inlet/outlet grease trap for upstream grease separation where kitchen wastewater may discharge toward the pump station.
Why these products are grouped
A cleaner pathway for wastewater lifting
- Creates a clearer buying pathway for customers who need wastewater lifted or transferred.
- Combines the pump station with upstream grease separation for better kitchen wastewater protection.
- Helps customers understand the difference between a pump station, transfer application and standard greywater diversion.
- Supports homes, cabins, small commercial sites and remote amenities where gravity fall is not available.
Site and consent context
Pump station design must match the discharge pathway
Site suitability note: Final pump station selection depends on wastewater source, fixture load, grease loading, pumping head, pipe length, discharge point, access-cover loading, electrical supply, alarm location and local authority requirements. This bundle provides a practical product pathway, but site-specific approval, plumbing connections, electrical work and installation are not included unless separately scoped.
NZ Building Code and council review: WCTNZ® can provide product information, technical documentation and consent-support information for customers, designers, builders, plumbers and wastewater professionals reviewing a wastewater pump station pathway.
