    Hemp hurd is an excellent choice for use as bulking material in composting toilets. As the woody inner core of the hemp plant, hemp hurd is absorbent, highly biodegradable, and has a fibrous texture that promotes aeration — key for the composting process. It helps balance moisture levels, reduce odours, and support the decomposition of waste.

    In addition to these advantages, hemp hurd is a byproduct of hemp cultivation, supporting sustainability by minimizing waste.
