    Product background

Dry toilet infrastructure that can move with demand

The Kaab™ Kazuba™ Bumper is designed for projects where a permanent in-ground building is not always the best fit.

It can support seasonal activity, event programmes, changing visitor patterns and remote public sites while retaining the same core Kazuba™ approach to waterless waste management.

    How Kazuba™ works

Separate, evaporate and dehydrate using natural airflow

    Stage 1 Separate

Liquid and solid waste are separated within the dry-toilet system.

    Stage 2 Dry

Solar gain and continuous airflow support urine evaporation and solids dehydration.

    Stage 3 Vent

The thermal chimney and wind-driven vent draw air through the pedestal and out of the facility.

    Best suited for

Seasonal, multi-site and flexible public amenity programmes

    • Golf courses and vineyards.
    • Wedding venues and event sites.
    • Campgrounds and recreation areas.
    • Parks and public open spaces.
    • Seasonal visitor locations.
    • Remote or semi-remote facilities.
    • Council programmes where buildings may be moved between events or seasonal demand areas.
    Building and installation

Above-ground deployment with future relocation in mind

The Bumper uses durable building materials including galvanised steel framing and Thermowood® cladding, giving the facility a robust public-facing finish suited to outdoor use.

The building can be relocated using suitable lifting equipment such as a forklift or crane. WCTNZ® can manage deployment and future relocation as part of the project service pathway.

Where an accessible approach is required, the above-ground Bumper pathway can be considered with either a recess arrangement or an accessibility ramp as part of the site design.

    Good to know before purchase

Relocatable does not mean placement is arbitrary. Sun exposure, wind, servicing access, ground conditions and user access still matter to system performance.

A Bumper deployment should be reviewed as part of the complete site and service strategy.

    Site-performance planning

Kazuba™ desiccating performance is influenced by climate, solar exposure and available wind. Where passive conditions are weaker, WCTNZ® can assess whether assisted ventilation or temperature compensation should form part of the project.

    Maintenance

    Low-complexity servicing with WCTNZ® training

Routine facility cleaning and basic dry-toilet servicing can be undertaken by nominated site staff once they have been trained in the correct Kazuba™ maintenance pathway.

This allows councils and commercial operators to integrate routine care into existing grounds, ranger or cleaning teams while retaining WCTNZ® technical support.
