    Grease-trap installation accessory

    Passway™ | M-43D Tank Riser (150mm)

A 150mm tank riser for the Passway™ M-43D grease trap where additional installation depth is required.

The riser raises the M-43D access-cover level while allowing the main separator body to remain at the depth required by the site’s plumbing elevations.

    Depth adjustment for M-43D installations

The 150mm riser is used where the standard M-43D body height does not place the access cover at the required finished-surface level.

It can assist with sub-slab conditions, foundation layouts, paving levels or deeper inlet and outlet pipe elevations.

The riser is an installation accessory for the M-43D model only. It should be selected as part of the complete installation layout rather than added after surrounding construction has been completed.
    Best suited for

    Installations needing additional access height

    • M-43D installations with deeper inlet or outlet elevations.
    • Sub-slab installations where the cover must meet the finished surface.
    • Foundation or paving layouts requiring additional access height.
    • Projects where the grease trap must remain fully accessible after landscaping or paving.
    Installation planning

Confirm the complete depth before setting the grease trap

The plumber, drainlayer or project designer should establish the required installation depth from the inlet and outlet elevations, pipe grade, finished-surface level and service-access requirements.

The cover must remain completely removable after paving, concrete, landscaping or other surrounding works are completed.

The riser must not be used as a structural support for surrounding paving or vehicle loads. Any external load-rated access arrangement must be independently supported so unintended loads are not transferred into the riser or separator body.
    Watertightness

Check the assembled riser joint on site

The independent M-43D laboratory report records that the extension-shaft connection was not included in the laboratory watertightness assessment.

Where the riser is installed, the completed riser-to-body joint should therefore be assembled correctly and checked for watertightness before the installation is closed in.

The completed joint should prevent wastewater escaping from the separator and prevent stormwater, surface water or groundwater entering through the riser connection.
    Cover loading

The standard cover rating does not change

Adding the riser does not increase the load rating of the standard M-43D cover.

Where vehicle loading may occur, a separately supported and appropriately load-rated access-cover arrangement must be designed for the location.

    WCTNZ® support

Confirm the riser during installation planning

WCTNZ® can help confirm the M-43D riser option, while the final depth, pipe elevations, surrounding construction and service-access detail remain site-specific.
