Additional storage for self-contained travel

An 8-litre bottle provides additional onboard liquid-storage capacity. As a simple planning example, using an allowance of 1 litre per person per day, one 8-litre bottle represents four days of storage for two people.

This is a capacity-planning example rather than a statement that the legislation prescribes that exact urine-production rate.

Filled bottles must be safely secured onboard until they can be emptied through an appropriate waste-management pathway.
