Why choose the 400

More drainage area than the compact 300 kit

The 400mm kit provides a larger nominal soak-pit footprint and additional drainage media compared with the WCTNZ® Soak Pit Kit 300.

It is also the WCTNZ® soak-pit pathway referenced for EcoLet™ Separera urine-diversion systems.

Choose between the 300 and 400 kits according to the actual drainage source, expected volume and site conditions rather than assuming that a larger pit automatically resolves unsuitable soil or groundwater conditions.

Installation context

Soil and groundwater remain part of the design

Confirm adequate soil permeability before installation.
Avoid a position where groundwater can inundate the soak pit.
Keep the drainage pathway clear of building and service conflicts.
Additional 40mm pipe extensions can be used where additional connection length is required.
Confirm local requirements where the soak pit forms part of a consented wastewater or sanitation installation.

The supplied WCTNZ® product information positions this kit for standard leachate-drain applications where the water table is more than approximately 2.2m deep.

The 2.2m figure is not the only site test. Final suitability also depends on soil permeability, setback requirements, liquid loading and the specific drainage application.
