EcoLet™ | NE Separera 30

The EcoLet™ Non-Electric Separera is the ideal solution for baches and remote areas where access to power is not possible.

The Separera actually separates liquids and solids from human waste which has two key benefits. Firstly, in areas with extremely humid environments, it helps ensure the compost isn’t too wet which can help to speed up the decomposition. Perhaps more relevant to most conditions in New Zealand though, separating liquids and solids can help to increase the amount of time between emptying the system. That makes this the perfect choice for situations where the toilet is mostly used for urination. 

With a rated capacity of 2 people for full-time use and 4 people for part-time use, this is the above floor model which is designed for situations where there is no space for a retention tank below the floor. This makes it ideal for concrete floors and even second-storey applications. 

The EcoLet™ NE Separera is constructed from high-quality materials and attention has been given to the design to ensure that it looks great in your bathroom. The outer casing is made from ABS plastic and all metal components are stainless steel to assure long life. This unit comes with two exchangeable composting bins. Rotation between these two bins helps to give the compost additional time to mature and decreases the amount of maintenance work required.

There is a built-in 12v fan in the system, which helps to evaporate liquids and keeps the system odourless.

Vent setup

The EcoLet™ NE Separera 30 comes with a through-ceiling vent kit.

Drainage

A convenient drain tube is provided to evacuate the liquids to a leaching pit in-ground, greywater system or to an auxiliary storage container.
