What’s Not Covered (Warranty Exclusions)
The following items are not covered by warranty:
Damage from improper installation, misuse, or alterations

Labour charges and parts for issues found unrelated to manufacturing defects
Labour charges for issues found within the warranty period
How to Make a Warranty Claim
Notify WCTNZ® via warranty@wctnz.co.nz and provide the following information:
1. SO number of the unit (this may be located on the back of your unit) 2. SN number (this may be located on the back of your unit) 3. WCTNZ® order number 4. Your current contact details 5. Description of the fault 6. Photographs* of the fault 7. Photographs* of the entire installation: inside, outside, underfloor (for split systems), vent stack, drain, and any other connections
Please provide all photographs in low-quality images.
If some of this information is not available to you, please notify us as soon as possible.
Please note that any delay in the provision of information can delay the claims process and exacerbate the problem with your system.
How to return for Testing & Repair Service
Notify WCTNZ® via warranty@wctnz.co.nz and provide the following information:
Photo/evidence requirements of the parts - of the whole system installation - any electrical system connected with the system
Return Authorisation (RA) process
Testing charges will apply when no fault is found (linked to Testing & Repair Service Policy)
Freight responsibilities are borne by the customer at all times
WCTNZ® is to furnish new parts to a customer whose product fails within the allotted warranty period for the particular component, provided that our inspection shows that such failure is due to defective material or workmanship.
Any part supplied is warranted for the balance of the original warranty period based on the respective manufacturer’s warranty.
All support information for warranty claims is to be supplied by the customer to WCTNZ® within 21 days of alerting WCTNZ® to the fault. This includes SO and SN numbers from the unit, WCTNZ® order number, a description of the fault, photographs of the fault, and any other relevant information WCTNZ® requests.
The warranty period for a part begins from the date the original product was dispatched (plus 5 additional days for transportation).
All faulty parts are to be returned to WCTNZ®; shipping of these is the customer's responsibility.
If a warranty replacement part is sent out and the original part is proven not to be faulty, the customer will be charged for the replacement part.
Replacement Parts Availability
WCTNZ® endeavours to hold replacement parts in stock to the best of our ability. If replacement parts are not available at the time of a warranty claim, the customer is responsible for covering all logistics costs from the point of origin.

Advance Waste Water Systems (AWWS) warrants product against material defects in materials and workmanship for a period of TWO YEAR from the date of the original retail purchase (warranty period). Warranty work will be done in accordance with the following terms and conditions. This warranty only benefits the original purchaser.
THIS WARRANTY COVERS ONLY DEFECTS IN MATERIAL AND WORKMANSHIP. THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER ANY OF THE FOLLOWING:
Expendable items that can wear out from normal use, including but not limited to, filters, or similar perishable parts.
Damage to or failure of this system if it is not installed, operated, or maintained according to all instructions supplied with the system.
Damage to or failure of this system resulting from accident, abuse, misuse, or use for other than its intended purpose, Act of God.
Damage to or failure of parts or system resulting incomplete or improper installation or from unauthorized modifications made to this system.
If you purchase the system from an unauthorized retailer or dealer.
Damage caused by power surges, electrical storm damage, incorrect power supply, or insect or vermin infestation.
Damage to or failure of parts if this system is serviced or rapaired by anyone other than an Authorized Service Center.
This warranty extends only to you, the original purchaser. It is not transferable to anyone who subsequently purchased this product from you.
Use for more than a single family or use in a commercial establishment or for commercial non-household purposes.
Parts and systems not supplied by AWWS are not covered by this warranty
Any item which has been repaired or replace under this warranty shall be covered for the remainder of this original warranty as extended by the number of days that the product has been out of your hands for repair.
Pump Stations
Advance Waste Water Systems (AWWS) warrants product against material defects in materials and workmanship for a period of TEN YEAR STRUCTUAL & TWO YEAR MECHANICAL from the date of the original retail purchase (warranty period). Warranty work will be done in accordance with the following terms and conditions. This warranty only benefits the original purchaser.

10 Year Limited Warranty — against defects in workmanship and materials, from date of purchase, for the lifetime of the plumbing system in which the product is originally installed.
Passway™ Grease Management Products are covered by a 10 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY against defects in workmanship and materials, for the lifetime of the plumbing system in which the product is originally installed. The Manufacturer/Distributor (Waterless Composting Toilets NZ Limited) will, at its discretion, refund, repair, or replace a product found to be defective (subject to the terms, limitations and exclusions below).
This warranty applies to the original purchaser and may also apply to a subsequent owner, provided the warranty conditions are met.
WARRANTY CONDITIONS (REQUIREMENTS FOR COVERAGE):
Warranty registration is required. The Manufacturer/Distributor must receive proof of purchase and a completed warranty registration card within 90 days of purchase.
The product must be installed and used in strict compliance with the supplied instructions, relevant industry standards and practices, and all applicable local codes/laws, and must pass any installation tests referenced in the instructions.
The product must be installed by a licensed plumber and must not be modified, repaired, altered, disassembled, or tampered with without authorisation.
If installation is carried out by anyone other than a trade professional, warranty cover is limited to a 1-year warranty only.
HOW TO MAKE A WARRANTY CLAIM:
Within 10 days of discovering an alleged defect, the purchaser (or subsequent owner) must notify the Manufacturer/Distributor and promptly return the product believed to be defective to the Manufacturer/Distributor facility in Henderson, Auckland, with freight prepaid. An on-site inspection may be arranged at the Manufacturer/Distributor’s discretion.
THIS WARRANTY COVERS ONLY DEFECTS IN MATERIAL AND WORKMANSHIP. THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER ANY OF THE FOLLOWING:
Damage or defects resulting from misuse, abuse, or improper application.
Damage or defects caused by installation, operation, handling, storage, or maintenance that is not in accordance with the supplied instructions and applicable standards/codes.
Damage caused by unauthorised modification, repair, alteration, disassembly, or tampering.
Damage resulting from traffic or loads exceeding the intended load rating of the cover/lid (where applicable).
Normal wear and tear, cosmetic change/discolouration, UV degradation, or weathering.
Damage resulting from extreme temperature or pH conditions, freeze-related damage, or other harsh site/environment conditions.
Damage resulting from acts of nature, incidents/accidents, building settling, structural failures, or other causes outside the Manufacturer/Distributor’s control.
Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, and any installation/repair costs including labour (including field repair, replacement, or removal).
LIMITATION OF REMEDIES: Any liability in respect to the product is strictly limited to refund, repair, or replacement at the Manufacturer/Distributor’s discretion. Labour and installation/repair costs are excluded.
PRODUCT CHANGES: The Manufacturer/Distributor may discontinue or modify products. Replacement products may vary in colour compared to the original product or as a result of normal weathering.
Key exclusions (examples): No warranty or liability applies for damages or defects resulting from misuse or abuse; improper application; installation in locations susceptible to damage from traffic exceeding intended loads (per lid load rating); normal wear and tear; discolouration; UV degradation; extreme temperature or pH levels; freeze-related damage; acts of nature; incidents such as building settling or structural failures; accidents; improper or faulty installation, storage, handling or maintenance; failure to properly care for and maintain the product or the plumbing system; failure to follow warnings/safety instructions; or any other cause outside the Manufacturer/Distributor’s control.
Product changes: The Manufacturer/Distributor may discontinue or modify products, and replacement products may vary in colour compared to the original product or as a result of normal weathering.

Key exclusions & conditions
No coverage if unit is altered or repaired by anyone not authorised by the warrantor, or misused/neglected/accident-damaged.
Do not remove labels—warranty is void if original labels are removed.
Warranty applies only to the original consumer and original installation.
WCTNZ® products come with a Manufacturer's Limited Warranty, as required by the Building Act 2004. Limited Warranty covers only certain parts or defects with specific limitations. WCTNZ® is there to assist you in the claims process, but all final decisions are at the manufacturer's discretion. Warranty periods and conditions per manufacturer are laid out above.
Below terms apply to all brands that do not have unique terms and conditions
These warranties do not cover:
Damage resulting from neglect, abuse, accident or alteration; or damage caused by fire, flood, acts of god or other causality
Damage resulting from failure of the purchaser to follow normal installation and operating procedures outlined in the manual or in any other printed instructions supplied with the system
Labour and service charges incurred in the removal and replacement of any parts found defective under this warranty
Cost of delivery of replacement parts
Full Definitions of Warranty
Subject to clause 18(c), all goods supplied are covered by such warranty as is specified by the manufacturer and supplied subject to the product standards detailed by the manufacturer.
The Buyer shall immediately notify the Seller in writing upon discovery of any defect in the goods. The Buyer shall not carry out any remedial work to alleged defective goods without first obtaining the written consent of the Seller.
The only conditions and warranties which are binding on the Seller in respect of the state, quality of the goods supplied by it to the Buyer are those imposed and required to be binding by statute (including the Trade Practices Act 1974) and to the extent permitted thereby, the liability, if any, of the Seller arising from the breach of such conditions or warranties, shall at the Seller's option be limited to and completely discharged by:
replacement of the goods with equivalent goods; or
the repair of goods; or
the payment of the cost of replacement of the goods; or
the payment of the cost of repair of the goods provided that in all such cases any freight costs and costs of dismantling and re-assembly shall be borne by the Purchaser. All other conditions and warranties whether expressed or implied by law or otherwise in respect of the state, quality or condition of the goods which may apart from this clause be binding upon the Seller are hereby expressly excluded and negated
The Buyer expressly acknowledges and agrees that it has not relied upon and the Seller is not liable for any advice given by the Seller, its agents or employees in relation to the suitability for any purpose of goods or materials supplied by the Seller.
Liability of Seller
Except as expressly provided herein and to the extent permitted by law:
the Seller shall not be under any liability, whether in contract, tort or otherwise in respect of defects in goods delivered or for any injury, damage or loss resulting from such defects or from any work done in connection therewith except to the extent that any statute applicable to these Terms and Conditions expressly prevents the exclusions, restriction or modification of such terms and conditions
the Seller shall not be liable to the Buyer for any loss of profit whatsoever arising nor shall the Seller be under any liability whether, in contract, tort or otherwise nor for any injury, damage or loss whether consequential or otherwise save as is expressly provided in these Terms and Conditions;
the Buyer indemnifies the Seller against any liability to or action by a third party in respect of goods manufactured to the Buyer's specification;
all goods are supplied in accordance with usual industry standards and the Seller shall not be liable to the Buyer for the condition or quality of goods which comply with these standards.
Alteration to Conditions
The Seller may at any time alter these Terms and Conditions at the point of Quotation or Sale.
