Aqua Clarus How to Start Your System

Your installer and service technician prepare the Aqua Clarus system for first use, then show you how to look after it.

Commissioning covers the treatment cabinet, collection equipment, reuse supply and backup arrangements. Begin reuse when the commissioning checks are complete and the technician confirms the system is ready.

First use

Five things to cover at handover

Check the installed arrangement

Confirm which household fixtures supply greywater, which outlets receive treated water and where any bypass or overflow goes. Keep the model and serial numbers with the installation drawing.

Let the technician establish treatment

The technician starts the biological, filtration and UV stages using the M800sx instructions, checks pumps and controls, and completes the required commissioning and water-quality checks.

Learn the owner controls

Ask to see the normal indicators, what each alarm requires you to do, and the safe backup, isolation and restart arrangements for your installation.

Set up the service plan

Record the service provider’s details and the next filter-care and treatment-unit service dates. Make sure you know which tasks you can carry out and which need a technician.

Keep the handover records

Retain the equipment list, drawings, operating instructions, test results, normal readings and warranty information in one place.

Normal operation

Give the treatment process consistent care

Use the connected fixtures as described at handover and keep unsuitable waste out of the greywater stream. Spread unusually heavy laundry activity where practical and tell the service provider about a significant change in household use.

Keep the power supply in the operating state specified for your system. Do not routinely switch the treatment unit off to save electricity. Keep access clear and look out for alarms, leaks or an unexpected change in noise or odour.

Going away

Plan for an extended absence

Contact the service provider before a long period away. They can explain how to manage incoming water, power and stored treated water, and what to check when you return.

After a prolonged vacancy, significant power outage, flooding or treatment fault, follow the service provider’s restart advice before returning water to reuse.

When something is not right

Use the instructions for your installed system

Follow the fault instructions demonstrated at handover and record the alarm or symptom before contacting the service provider. The Troubleshooting Guide outlines safe owner actions.

Filling levels, controller settings and treatment-establishment periods belong to the M800sx commissioning instructions. Do not use a startup procedure from a different greywater system.
