    Aqua Clarus Maintenance Instructions

Simple owner checks and regular servicing help keep the Aqua Clarus treatment and reuse system working reliably.

Care covers the collection device, biological treatment, membrane, UV, pumps and any separate storage or delivery equipment. Keep the service schedule with the system records so each task has a clear due date.

    Owner routine

A quick check can pick up changes early

WCTNZ® recommends a brief external check each week. Look for alarms, unexpected water around the unit or collection lid, new odours, unusual noise and obstructed service access. Keep panels and lids closed.

Record any concerns when they occur and review the care record monthly. This is a suggested owner routine; follow any more frequent checks included in your service plan.

    Maintenance schedule

Keep the tasks and dates together

    Care for the complete system
When or trigger Task Who carries it out
Weekly owner check Look externally for alarms, leaks, changed odour or noise, and blocked access. Owner or operator
Monthly record review Record observations, incidents, available readings and outstanding service work. Owner or operator
GreyFlow primary filter: every three months* Inspect and clean the selected upstream filter; attend earlier where loading or filter condition requires. A person trained and permitted to do this under the collection-device instructions
Treatment-unit service: on the site schedule Service biological circulation, membrane, UV, pumps, blower, controls, alarms and residual-water handling. Service technician
Storage and delivery: on the site schedule Check the treated-water tank, reuse pump, backup arrangement, labels and selected irrigation equipment. Responsible service practitioner
After an alarm, upset, outage or prolonged absence Apply the fault or restart procedure and complete any water-quality checks before normal reuse resumes. Service provider, with the owner following their directions

*Three-monthly primary-filter care is the starting interval described for the GreyFlow manual-filter pairing. Use the instructions for the collection device installed at your property.

Book the cabinet service before it is due. Your service plan records the interval for the installed M800sx, its operating conditions and applicable approval requirements. Owner checks and upstream filter cleaning do not replace that service.

    Collection filter

    Keep the upstream equipment accessible

The collection filter intercepts material before transfer to the treatment cabinet. Use the cleaning method for that collection device, including its isolation, hygiene and waste-handling instructions.

Only carry out this task yourself where the instructions and handover training allow it. Do not leave the system running without its filter or change its screen grade on your own initiative.

    Professional servicing

    Look after each treatment barrier

The service technician checks biological circulation and treatment cycles, membrane performance, UV operation, pumps, blower, controls and alarms. The visit also addresses accumulated residuals and their approved removal route.

Membrane cleaning, UV-lamp replacement and changes to operating settings follow the instructions for the components fitted. Keep the service report, including any replacement parts and follow-up work.

Leave internal service work to the technician. Do not enter a tank, open electrical controls, expose an operating UV lamp or remove pressurised components. Do not add membrane-cleaning chemicals or chlorine tablets unless the M800sx service procedure specifically calls for them.

    After treatment

Care for storage and delivery too

Keep treated-water tank lids, labels and access points intact. The service plan should include tank hygiene, the reuse pump, backup water and any irrigation filters or flushing points.

Report persistent loss of supply, repeated pump cycling, leaks or signs that stored water has deteriorated. Do not add a temporary drinking-water hose to the greywater tank or pipework.

    System records

Keep a service history that is useful

For each visit, record the date, person attending, equipment checked, readings taken, parts replaced, residuals removed, sample or laboratory references, faults found and any work still outstanding. Include the next due date and any instructions about returning to reuse.

Keep commissioning results, drawings, instructions and service reports together for the life of the system, and pass them to the next owner. Recordkeeping requirements in the site approvals and service agreement also apply.
