Different toilets are solving different sanitation problems

The toilet pedestal remains inside the bathroom while the composting chamber sits beneath or beside the building. Processing volume and routine chamber servicing therefore remain outside the living space.

For RVs, campervans, boats, camping and portable sanitation, physical size, weight, container access and simple servicing can matter more than long biological retention.

What was the toilet actually designed to do?
RV use, temporary use, residential living and public facilities create very different loads and servicing expectations.
Where does the treatment happen?
Inside an on-floor unit, within a removable batch chamber, in a large continuous tank or partly through an external management process?
What is the realistic loading?
User numbers only mean something when the assumptions behind full-time, part-time, seasonal or visit-based capacity are understood.
What happens to liquids?
Urine inclusion, evaporation, leachate drainage and urine diversion all create different installation and management requirements.
How will the system be serviced in ten years?
Parts, consumables, access, chamber handling, local support and long-term repairability matter long after the first online comparison has disappeared.
Start with the largest credible treatment pathway the project can sensibly support
